My pieces are typically narrative, working mainly with figurative elements and symbolic objects. In this series, "Transformation," is a continuation from an earlier series titled "Spirit Guides," which refers to the animals that help guide us through life. Certain animals conjour up different visceral meanings, and I am currently using the bird as symbolic image. These pieces can be taken in two different ways, either the figure is in transformation of the bird spirit, or the bird is transforming into the human.
